Tri-County Head Start provides
children with experiences that prepare them for future success in
Kindergarten. The curriculum focuses on eight domains of learning -
literacy, language, mathematics, science, creative arts,
social/emotional development, physical development and approaches to
learning. We emphasize literacy through learning about letters, books
and writing. The classrooms are rich in print with labels, charts,
graphs, books, and writing centers. Children learn about numbers and
practice classifying, ordering, patterning and counting with many
kinds of materials and a variety of activities. Science areas offer
opportunities to try out ideas, make observations and perform
experiments.
